⛶ SScan – Complete Scan is an Android application that helps users scan, manage, and back up their personal documents securely.
It allows creating PDFs and images from the device camera, organizing them locally, and synchronizing them with the user’s own Google Drive account for safe cloud backup and multi-device access.
The app uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication and the Google Drive API only to manage files created by the user inside SScan’s dedicated folder.
No other Drive content is viewed, read, or modified.
This policy explains how data is handled and how users maintain full control of their information.
📄 Data Collection & Use
Local Files: Documents, images, and text files are stored only on the user’s device or in the user’s Google Drive folder. They are never transmitted to external servers.
Google Account Info: When signing in, SScan receives the user’s email address and profile ID from Google OAuth 2.0 solely to identify the Drive space for backup. No email content or contacts are accessed.
Advertising Data: Anonymous identifiers may be used by Google AdMob to deliver native ads, respecting user consent under GDPR.
🔐 Google API & OAuth Access
SScan uses the following Google APIs:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive – to upload, list, and delete the app’s own backup files in the user’s Drive.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile – to identify the user’s account and display the signed-in profile name or email.
Authentication is performed through Google OAuth 2.0.
Tokens are handled by Google’s libraries on the device and are never stored or transmitted to any external server.
Users can revoke access anytime in their Google Account → Security → Third-party access.
